Briefly describe your intended project. I will be explaining every step that goes into a musical production. I will be working at Young Starrs Theater Company, volunteering with Mrs. Judi Starr Pezola.
Project Outcome or Goal. I will have had a hand in directing a play, as well as a few other steps to the making of it. I will use this to show the parts in making a theater production, other than acting.
Project Completion Strategies. It will be a lot of work to do, but i will have to manage my time correctly. I will work with my mentor, probably sometime during the week, and during Sundays, helping out with the current productions. I will record those hours and write down what i did.
Project Resources and Materials. I will need a notebook to keep all my records. Also sources on how to do everything that i am doing. I will need my theater director, Mrs, Pezola and 100 hours of work.
Research
Research Topic I chose to explain everything that goes into a musical theater production. Starting from the writing of it, to the very product, i will break down the steps to show just how much goes into it. I chose this because it is what i want to do for a living and it will keep my attention because i enjoy it so much.
Essential Question What are ALL of the steps that go into a musical theater production? Are there any steps that are more important than another? What does it take to do each job and what is involved?
Prior Experience Yes i have had prior experience with this topic. I've been in a total of 9 plays. I've also been a house manager for a production at Springfield Township High School. I've also taken a number of acting and vocal classes.
Research Benefits My audience should benefit from my investigation because they will have further knowledge of the topic. I will also beneift because it will give me further knowledge as well.
Potential Sources My mentor is a potential source. Also my theater director at school, Marlene Thornton. These two people have lots of experience with my topic and they can help me greatly. They are both theater directors and have directed a number of plays. They also have both had me in their productions.
